THE FAMILY SAGA
Since 1936, Minuty has been, above all, a family story made of passion and values on the Saint-Tropez peninsula.

1930 - THE EARLY YEARS
Acquisition of Château Minuty by Gabriel Farnet in 1936.
Gabriel Farnet, already the owner of the Domaine de Châteauneuf in Vidauban, acquired Château Minuty in 1936. The estate was originally built under Napoleon III, as was the small chapel that gave its name to the Cuvée de l'Oratoire, which long remained the emblematic bottle. Many luxury hotels on the Côte d'Azur still possess these bulging bottles.
Gabriel Farnet began by completely replanting the estate after the Second World War.
In 1955, Minuty was one of 23 properties to be distinguished as a classified growth of the Côtes de Provence.

1960 - THE CONTINUED GROWTH OF THE CÔTE D'AZUR
The restructuring of the vineyard by Monique and Étienne Matton.
Monique Farnet, Gabriel's daughter, and her husband Etienne Matton, longtime president of the Crus Classés, replanted traditional Provençal grape varieties (Tibouren, Rolle, Grenache), limiting yields while striving for high-quality winemaking. Thanks to this rigorous work in the vineyards, they established Minuty's reputation at the finest restaurants on the Côte d'Azur.

1990 - THE MODERN ERA
The influence of Minuty with Jean-Etienne and François Matton.
Today, Jean-Etienne and François Matton have taken over and continue to move Minuty forward. They have left their mark by continuing to renovate the vineyard, replacing Carignan and Ugni Blanc with Grenache and Rolle, and equipping themselves with modern, high-performance tools.
Under their leadership, the reputation of Minuty wines has spread throughout France and the world, with a presence in 100 countries.

FROM 2012 TO THE PRESENT DAY
In 2012, major renovations were undertaken to improve the welcome offered to visitors at the estate. They surrounded themselves with renowned architects and designers to renovate the tasting cellar, create a second barrel cellar, a meeting room, and a tasting room for professionals.
In 2022, Minuty saw the 4th generation of the Matton family flourish, with Anne-Victoire Matton joining her father Jean-Etienne and her uncle François in managing this Provençal gem.
In 2023, LVMH acquired Minuty.
