M ROUGE
Concentrated from Provence, Minuty M wines are selected in the purest Minuty style. A combination of freshness, respect for fruit and intensity of flavor.
THE STORY
A red wine with identity, thanks to a careful selection of the best juices from all the Appellation's terroirs, from the seaside to the hinterland, including Sainte-Victoire. Mostly local grape varieties, such as Syrah and Mourvèdre. Not to mention François and Jean-Etienne Matton's unwavering determination to make a wine from here and nowhere else, with a Minuty style that glides over the palate and caresses the nose with generous aromas.
THE METHOD
Just like the M rosé and white wines and perhaps unusually for a red wine, the focus here is on locking in its freshness. Minuty selects Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache and a little Cabernet and processes them with short macerations to capture its silky mouthfeel and fruity hit.
THE FLAVOUR
A red summer wine, it expresses the crisp fruit of our Provencal grape varieties. Round on the palate, with plenty of character.
THE EXPERIENCE
As an aperitif, it's perfect with tapenades, rillettes and charcuterie of all kinds. It can also be served with tartiflette-style buckwheat crêpes, brasserie dishes or family-style dishes such as croque-monsieur, quiche lorraine, tartare, blanquette de veau or pot au feu. On the seafood side, we offer shrimp, oysters with vinegar and shallots, and smoked fish sashimi.
