AN ESTATE IN THE HEART OF THE SAINT-TROPEZ PENINSULA

Our estate enjoys a privileged location on the hillsides of the villages of Gassin and Ramatuelle, overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and under the influence of the Mediterranean Sea.

The Château Minuty vineyard stretches across the limestone soils of Gassin, where 65 hectares of vines grow in a single plot. In Ramatuelle, in the Val de Rian area, 15 hectares of vines face the beautiful Bay of Pampelonne. The rest of the vineyard is anchored by 120 hectares of sandy and clayey soils in Le Cannet-des-Maures and Vidauban, where the Domaine de Châteauneuf and the Bastide de Verez are located.

A plot layout designed for each grape variety

Each grape variety is skillfully planted in the most favorable part of the terroir to allow it to flourish fully and reveal its full potential.

Around the Château, the vines, with their deep, rock-free soil, are dedicated to Grenache. The southwest-facing plots, bathed in sunshine, are home to Syrah and Mourvèdre, reserved for the production of red wines. In the more stony and chalky areas, conducive to the expression of minerality, Rolle has naturally found its place.

The entire vineyard enjoys a southeastern exposure, directly influenced by the Mediterranean Sea. This proximity favors wines with a delicate, saline expression marked by the sea air. The offshore wind, by drying the vines after dew or rain, also helps limit the risk of disease.

SOUTHERN GRAPE VARIETIES IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Sixty percent of our vineyard is planted with Grenache. Originally from Spain, this grape variety was primarily cultivated to produce generous red wines. Today, however, it is the "king" grape variety of Côtes de Provence rosés. It produces highly aromatic, silky, and elegant rosés. The Farnet-Matton family recognized its potential early on to produce less structured wines with more intense aromas.

Among the vineyard's grape varieties, we also find:

- The resistant Cinsault, the discreet Tibouren, an emblematic local variety of the Saint-Tropez Peninsula, and the powerful Syrah, used to make our rosés.

- The delicate Rolle, a traditional Var grape variety present on the estate for several generations, the Baroudeur Sémillon Blanc and the intense Sauvignon Blanc, used for the production of our white wines.

- Finally, the peppery Mourvèdre and the vigorous Syrah, used to make our red wines.
