In less than a decade, the "Or" range has become Château Minuty's signature. The result of meticulous plot selection, these cuvées stand out for their naturalness and finesse.
THE STORY
With this cuvée was born the idea of a Provençal red, at once a wine of terroir, reflecting the schistose soils of Gassin, a racy wine, reflecting the great nobility of Mourvèdre and a Minuty wine, reflecting the style where refinement, lightness and generosity mingle. An ambitious and successful triptych.
THE METHOD
A 100% estate wine with vine growing and yields to suit each plot, specific ground cover to achieve perfectly ripe grapes every year. A single 100% Gassin terroir on the winery’s site with fantastic cystalline schist. Two grape varieties, mainly Mourvèdre with a hint of Syrah. The handpicked raisins are then destemmed and crushed. They undergo cold pre-ferment maceration to bring out the intense dark fruit aromas before being fermented with temperature checks during two fermentations. The wine is barely touched after that and ages in french oak barrels. The idea is to only extract what’s required to produce an
elegant wine.
THE FLAVOUR
A garnet-red color with topaz highlights, where the Mourvèdre grape expresses all its delicacy. The sea spray of the Presqu'ile has mastered its fragility. The nose is fruity, with notes of red fruit. On the palate, the wine is delicate and airy. A wine of finesse.
THE EXPERIENCE
A wine for dishes with character, sweet and sour Asian sauces will go well with the dark fruits of the wine. Duck in 5 courses, fried fish prepared Japanese style, Indian cuisine with tandoori chicken. In Provence, you will enjoy the leg of lamb.
