The Matton family, owners of Château Minuty for more than 80 years, has announced the acquisition of Château Verez located in Vidauban, in a plain in the heart of the Maures massif. This is a 60 hectare estate of which 40 hectares are cultivated with AOC Côtes de Provence vines. The vines (Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah, average age 25 years) are bordered by umbrella pines and olive trees. In the heart of the vineyard is a magnificent Provençal bastide which offers elegant guest rooms.
This is a natural extension for the Matton family. Indeed, the vineyard of Château Verez adjoins that of Domaine de Chateauneuf, a property that has belonged to the family since the end of the 19th century. Quality has always been and remains our watchword," says François Matton. Château Verez is a nugget, on a terroir that we love, which is part of our history and that of our wines. The Matton family estate now covers 160 hectares, divided between Gassin (60 hectares), Ramatuelle (20 hectares) and Vidauban (80 hectares).
