Verez, the most recent of the Matton family's estates, is nestled at the foot of the Massif des Maures in a preserved environment of cork oaks and umbrella pines.
A great serenity emanates from the place where the view extends over 360°. The richness of the sandy-clay soils with their ochre-coloured hues has enabled the creation of a 40-hectare AOC Côtes de Provence vineyard, immediately adjacent to the family's oldest vineyard, Chateauneuf.
On arriving in Verez, all the emblematic elements of Provence come into view: terraces, olive trees, bastides. The dominance of green and ochre colours is striking.
Like a jewel box, nature envelops us and protects us from the hottest hours of the summer, while the sunsets set the landscape ablaze, giving it a wild aspect. Sheltered from the lights of the city, the starry nights take us back to our childhood memories.
When we took over the estate, we decided to continue and expand the guest houses in order to share with our friends and clients moments of life on a wine estate.
If you like the experience, if a return to nature appeals to you, try a stay in Verez.
You can stay here for several hours or days, there is nothing to miss: reading, swimming, magical walks from the house or horseback riding in the plain. Relaxation is guaranteed.... with family or friends.
For those who like to go for a walk, Verez is the ideal place to discover the most important places in Provence: the villages of the Haut Var, the Massif de la Sainte Baume, the Chartreuse de la Verne in the heart of the Massif des Maures, the typical markets, the beaches of Saint-Tropez and even a little further on, Aix en Provence.
We will be delighted to welcome you, to help you discover the area we love and to share our best addresses with you.
